What are RealTracks Sets?

RealTracks sets are collections of RealTracks that are grouped by genre, instrument, or style. For example, there are RealTracks sets for country guitar, jazz piano, rock drums, etc. Each set contains several RealTracks that can be used in different situations and songs. For instance, the country guitar set might have RealTracks for rhythm, soloing, fills, etc.

RealTracks sets are sold separately from the Band-in-a-Box program, and can be purchased online from the PG Music website. There are currently 429 RealTracks sets available, with new ones being released every year. The latest release is Band-in-a-Box 2023, which includes 222 new RealTracks. On your download page, you will see a list of files that you need to download for each RealTracks set. The most important file is the first one on the list - "Band-in-a-Box and RealBand 20xx". This file contains the main program and some essential files that you need to run Band-in-a-Box. You should download and install this file first, before downloading any other files.

The rest of the files are content installer files that contain the RealTracks and other features (such as RealDrums, MIDI SuperTracks, etc.). • Click the large "Download/Install Selected Files" button at the top. The Download Manager will start downloading the files and installing them when they are done.

  • Wait until all the files are downloaded and installed. You can monitor the progress on the Download Manager window.

  • When everything is finished, close the Download Manager and restart Band-in-a-Box.
